You can still have a magical holiday riding along the riding trails (560 km) of the Mühlviertler Alm – and guests who bring their own horses are able to stay in special log cabins with stables and a paddock.
Horses are available for hire in our riding school for riding with the correct posture, English trotting and long rein work.

The riding trail is made up of 560 km of signposted, riding trails, which are perfect for relaxing and also make the Mühlviertler Alm a really fantastic riding paradise. 52 stables and 14 communities have joined together to create a future for their region and an all-round experience for guests - ranging from places where you can tether your horses for resting, horse boxes with food and water for your horses right up to relaxing in the sauna. Experts in this region are there to meet both your requirements and those of your horses!
And when you’re equipped with the map of trails, all you need to do is follow the signs to find the best route and the next watering hole on your journey.

We are extremely proud of our small herd of Estonian horses and Criollos.
These horses stand out especially due to their undemanding nature and high levels of endurance.
Exterior: medium-sized horse of between approx. 145-155cm in height, wide, short head, expressive eyes, muscular neck, short back with wide and deep chest and well-muscled loin, round, muscly croup, correct fundament with solid hoofs, soft and comfortable walk, over 100 different colours. Criollos are derived from Moroccan Berbers and Spanish Andalusians, which the conquistadors took to South America in the 16th century. Their extraordinary resilience is a result of an approx. 300 year natural selection process, which took place when they were still wild and living in the pampas.
